Green Frog Art names VP of sales
Staff -- Kids Today, 8/1/2006
Juvenile products manufacturer Green Frog Art has hired Pete Cohen to fill its newly created vice president of sales position.
Cohen will handle all facets of sales and will be a strategic partner with company owners Kelly Mariotti and Linda Carpenter.
"We are thrilled to have Pete on our team" said Mariotti, president of Green Frog Art. "His industry knowledge and contacts will allow him to transition easily into our company culture and his forward-thinking vision will serve us well as we continue to expand our product offerings and strengthen the Green Frog Art brand."
Mariotti said creating this position was a natural progression for the company, which has seen continued growth each year. Green Frog's expansion into the crib category and Mariotti and Carpenter's desire for a strategic partner were pivotal reasons in adding this position.
"We've reached a point from a sales perspective where we want to redefine our long-range goals," Mariotti said. "We want to begin to implement some succession management options and really look at the big picture."
Before joining the company, Cohen served as the publisher of Kids Today since 2001 and before that was vice president of sales and marketing for North Carolina-based The Chair Co. He holds a bachelor of science in Business Administration from Bryant College and an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University.
