Phil & Teds official StrollerFit stroller

Staff -- Kids Today, 1/1/2007

New Zealand-based Phil & Teds is partnering with StrollerFit Exercise with Your Baby and is now the official stroller of the popular program.

"Partnering with StrollerFit was a true no-brainer from a marketing standpoint," said Bengt Lager, president of Regal Lager, the U.S. distributor of Phil & Teds. "Getting the Phil & Teds buggy in front of the thousands of moms coast-to-coast who take StrollerFit classes every week will give us priceless word-of-mouth attention and recognition. It's also the perfect way to get a constant stream of feedback from real-world buggy users."

As the official stroller of StrollerFit, Phil & Teds will provide a limited-edition, custom embroidered stroller to all StrollerFit franchisees to use in teaching their classes. The stroller functions as a pram for a newborn, an upright for a toddler and a fast pace walking stroller at any time. It also can be upgraded with a Doubles Kit upgrades that makes the single stroller into one that transports a toddler as well as a newborn on the foot print of a single stroller.

In return, StrollerFit owners and class members will offer ongoing feedback on the stroller to its makers.

"We know our moms will love the Phil & Teds buggy, and we're so proud to help introduce them to it," said Mary Beth Knight, fitness director at StrollerFit. "Phil & Teds is the coolest, most efficient stroller on the market and it's perfect for StrollerFit classes."

Additional partnership benefits include joint marketing opportunities, online and in-store cross promotions and more.

Cincinnati-based StrollerFit has more than 250 class locations nationwide. The program combines exercise science, early childhood development and group dynamics into a 50-minute fitness class.

Phil & Teds is the official stroller for StrollerFit.
