ModernTots opened its first showroom on Jan. 17 in Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood. The 2,500-square-foot store features modern products ranging from cribs and beds to toys and accessories. The showroom opening follows the success of the ModernTots retail Web site, www.ModernTots.com, launched in 2005, and its catalog, launched in 2006 by founders Sarah Rubenstein and Bruce Marsh.
"We are so thrilled to finally be bringing our ModernTots online experience to real life through our showroom," said Bruce Marsh, ModernTots' executive modern officer. "Now our customers and new ones can come have hands-on time with our furniture, toys and accessories at their leisure."
The store's product mix will change on a regular basis and the retailers look forward to making their showroom a place to not only shop but also host events for designing partners and showcase artists from around the country.
The DUMBO showroom has a clean, modern look and carries everything from furniture and toys to accessories.
After its online and catalog success, ModernTots has opened its first brick-and-mortar store.
