Jupiter, Fla.-based BabyUniverse, a leading Internet content, commerce and new media company in the pregnancy, baby and toddler marketplace, has announced that BabyTV.com will conduct its first live broadcast event in partnership with the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association during its upcoming show.
BabyTV.com's production is designed to provide a unique advertising medium for manufacturers and give consumers an unprecedented early look at new product lines in the baby and juvenile categories.
BabyTV.com will broadcast live from the show April 23–25 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The Web site has been granted exclusive access to film a variety of segments to air on BabyTV.com, the first Internet-based television network devoted to moms. BabyTV.com will broadcast JPMA-sponsored events such as the Innovation Awards and New Product Showcase as well as conduct live interviews and product demonstrations with participating show exhibitors.
"It has been our goal since the beginning to produce original content for BabyTV.com that is supported by, and valuable to, our manufacturer partners. The International JPMA show provides the perfect platform for our first production initiative," said John Textor, chairman and CEO of BabyUniverse. "We are thrilled to be partnering with the JPMA to bring valuable product information into the homes of new and expectant parents. Participating in BabyTV.com's broadcast event is the most efficient way for manufactures to reach consumers when considering the investment of time and resources already involved in exhibiting at the show."
Segments from JPMA will be incorporated into BabyTV.com's 24/7 linear programming schedule and video-on-demand library during and immediately following the show. By participating in the broadcast event, manufacturers will be able to receive instant consumer feedback through BabyTV.com's interactive features such as consumer polls and community message boards. Manufacturers will also have the ability to generate revenue by participating in the JPMA Marketplace on BabyTV.com, where consumers can pre-order or purchase featured products.
"We are delighted that BabyTV.com has chosen to broadcast live from the International JPMA show," said Amy Chezem, communications director for JPMA. "Their breakthrough marketing approach provides an added value for exhibitors choosing to participate in the broadcast. We are confident that BabyTV.com will help generate the same kind of national exposure for the juvenile products industry that other industries have enjoyed over the last several years."
