Brainy Baby, Mary Meyer partner for plush line

Brainy Baby has signed an agreement with manufacturer Mary Meyer to produce a line of licensed plush. The deal was completed at last month's Toy Fair in New York.
Mary Meyer will make eight to 10 SKUs, which are set to debut in winter 2008.
The line will incorporate education concepts that Brainy Baby has established as part of it multimedia program, which includes developmental DVDs and music CDs for infants and toddlers.
"We are really excited to be working with Brainy Baby," said Kevin Meyer, president of Mary Meyer. "...We have enjoyed strong growth with our baby products and feel that the timing is right to build on that success by evolving our baby and toddler activity toys with Brainy Baby."
Jeffrey Quinn, executive vice president, sales and marketing with Brainy Baby, was equally enthused. "Mary Meyer was an obvious choice for a license partner," he said. "They have an uncompromising attention to quality and detail, and their products are only found in upscale retailers. Developmental plush is a natural extension for Baby Brainy and something our retailers and moms have been asking for. The Mary Meyer design team is doing an incredible job of translating our unique educational concepts into a line of developmental plush for infants and toddlers."
