Playing for Keeps
By Lisa Casinger -- Kids Today, 2/1/2008
This time next month we’ll be in Savannah, Ga., at the 8th annual Kids Today conference. It will be the first time the conference has been outside of Florida in June. I think that’s a good thing; so do a lot of people who filled out surveys after last year’s conference.
I’m excited to have Rebecca Maddox back as a keynote speaker; she’s an astute, engaging speaker and she really delivers great information about selling to women.
Edward Walker will also be there. He’s a designer and cast member on TLC’s “Trading Spaces” and he’s simply intriguing. He has a great eye, knows design and knows it’s important even in a kid’s room.
Ali Wing, giggle, Lee Courtemanche, Isis Maternity and Gary Wiggs, W.S. Badcock, are going to share some of their business ideas on the Reach Out and Sell Someone panel, and Kelly Nelson, New Baby Products, Richard Goore, Goore’s, Aaron and Karla Pederson, Kids Stuff Superstore and Kim Crouchet, Pippin McGee, are going to talk about the Future of Retailing.
We’ll have other speakers as well, like Laurel Tielis, a marketing guru/journalist/author, and a great group of moms will join us for a consumer panel.
While an agenda packed with exceptional speakers and retailers willing to share ideas on how to improve your business is well worth the trip, don’t forget the fabulous location and the invaluable networking opportunities that always prove fruitful.Email me, lcasinger@reedbusiness.com, if you need more info. See you in Savannah!
