Find your style
-- Kids Today, 4/1/2008
Like adult bedroom furniture, options for youth rooms run the gamut in terms of style, design and finishes. And that variety keeps the segment fresh, with manufacturers introducing both new looks and traditional pieces with a twist. Key components in youth groups include storage options, such as wall units, and, increasingly, media centers, which allow kids to display their flat-screen TVs and still have plenty of room for their game systems, games, DVDs and more. Loft systems also continue their popularity, as they allows parents to fit sleep, storage and study onto a small footprint. With youth furniture sales expected to top $6.3 billion by 2012, according to Easy Analytic Software Inc. projections (see page 8), the category shows no signs of slowing down.
