Baby Prodigy Company strikes deal with Prestige Toy Corp.

-- Kids Today, 4/30/2008 1:13:00 PM

Parenting expert and children’s entertainment product company, The Baby Prodigy Company, has entered into a toy deal with Prestige Toy Corp. to develop and manufacture infant developmental toys and Baby Prodigy products for infants and toddlers.

Baby Prodigy is no stranger to parent recognition and accolades; Baby Prodigy DVDs Baby Prodigy and Baby Preschool were awarded Toy of the Year by Creative Child Magazine in 2003 and 2004 and Parenting Magazine’s Video of the Year 2005. This Prestige Toy Corp. deal will introduce “Dookie Duck” and other favorites as toys and infant products available in mass retail stores across the country. They will join the Prestige Toy Corp. family that currently licenses Carter’s, Carebears and Baby Snoopy.

“We were approached by Prestige Toy because our company credos went hand in hand – we were both committed to bringing happiness to children and parents alike,” said Baby Prodigy Founder, Barbara Candiano-Marcus. “For me it felt like the perfect fit.”

Candiano-Marcus got into the juvenile business when her oldest daughter could not be consoled as a colicky infant so she started doing research and wound up starting her own company based upon that research.

“Who knew that trying to calm my own child could lead to having my very own toy line,” she said.
