Some baby furniture emits formaldehyde, group says

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — An environmental group says that some cribs and changing tables may be exposing babies to unhealthy levels of formaldehyde, according to a report in today’s Sacramento Bee.
Environment California said it found that half a dozen products, out of 21 tested, emitted formaldehyde at levels high enough to trigger allergy and asthma attacks in children.
