Medela has recognized Sacramento, Calif.-based Goore's Babies to Teens for its commitment to nursing moms and to the Medela brand. Goore's is the first specialty retailer to be recognized with a Certified Nursing Center status through Medela's new Partner Program.

The program rewards accounts who achieve Medela's core values through best practices: educating moms on the benefits of breastfeeding and serving moms' needs through Medela product education. Accounts meeting the qualifications for the program will be awarded tools to assist them in providing education and product knowledge to consumers.

Medela presented the award to owners April and Ken Goore and Richard Goore and members of their staff.

More than 20 Goore's employees are currently certified in Medela breastfeeding products and Medela Intimate Apparel, offering product knowledge and personalized Nursing Bra Fittings.

“Goore's is a model for our retailers nationwide,” said Lisa Rittenhouse, director of retail sales for Medela. “Their commitment has resulted in a successful “store within a store” concept. Their product assortment and access via the Web and a toll-free number allows consumers to find Medela products. We're thrilled to kick off our Partner Program by rewarding Goore's and will continue to help them provide Sacramento-area moms with the education, service and products they need.”
