NEW YORK – KnollStudio, a division of Knoll, Inc., renowned for its collection of classic and enduring designs for the workplace and the home, has launched Knoll Kids, a modern children’s furniture collection.

Launched in May, Knoll Kids consists of modern mid-century classics that have been scaled for a younger generation, while maintaining the standards of the designers and affirming the Knoll belief in the power and utility of modern design.

“For the past several years, the children’s modern furniture industry has been inundated with designs that are virtually indistinguishable to the consumer,” said Dana Berk, KnollStudio marketing manager. “These designs all utilize similar materials, finishes and colors. We see an opportunity to fill the noticeable void left by the current product offering.”

Like all Knoll products, the pieces are finely crafted using the highest quality materials, finishes and textiles to create one-of-a-kind pieces that appeal to the unique taste of the Knoll customer. The initial offering includes new chairs and tables, as well as select items already available in the KnollStudio line. Prices range from $220 for a Maya Lin Child’s Stone to $3,674 for a Child’s Mies van der Rohe Barcelona Chair.

The line is available exclusively through Knoll Space retailers for a limited period before being made available at targeted children’s furniture retail stores across the U.S. and Canada.

“While this is Knoll’s first foray into the children’s industry, these new offerings embody the modern design aesthetic and superior level of quality for which the brand is known,” said Liz Needle, senior vice president, KnollStudio. “We believe the launch of Knoll Kids will set a new standard in the children’s modern furniture industry.”
