The Power of Change
May 29, 2007
Wow, May is almost over! Where has the year gone? We’ve got a lot going on at Kids Today right now.
Our 7th annual conference, The Power of Change, is just around the corner. It’s June 20-22 in Bonita Springs, Fla. If you haven’t signed up yet, please click here to check out the agenda and registration information on our Web site and join us. I know business is tough and it’s hard to find the time or money to get out of the office or the store, but we’ve got a great agenda lined up and think you’ll get a lot of value out of the speakers and panels as well as the networking opportunities.
This week we’re launching our redesigned Web site. It was time for an update!
One of the things I’m most excited about with the new site is our blogs. We’ve got Kelly Nelson from New Baby Products in Atlanta and Aaron Pederson (and Carla too!) from Kids Stuff Superstore in Lincoln, Neb. writing blogs for us. Kelly and Aaron are going to share their insights on retailing, customers, products and anything else that crosses their minds. We’ll also have a blog from retail consultant (and the kick-off speaker at the conference) Rick Segel. Rick’s been in the retain industry for decades, first as a retailer for many years and now as a consultant. He’s got a lot of great ideas on merchandising, the Internet, customer service and more.
One thing we’re working on for the magazine that we’re pretty pumped about is our Generations series. We sent out an eblast last week calling for family businesses — manufacturers and retailers — to send us information on their companies and how different generations of the family are involved. Email us if you’re in the family biz (lcasinger@reedbusiness.com). .
