Stop, Look, Listen... Great Guide For Sales

This video is an extreme (and comical) example of how sometimes in sales we lose focus on the customer. This particular scenario is of an over-aggressive sales representative talking to a buyer but the theme can apply to any sales associate to customer relationship. How well do you listen to your customer?

I have seen sales reps act in this all-talk manner. I have also been to stores where the sales clerks act in the same no-listening way. I believe the key is to listen carefully to your customer
before talking. The guerrilla sales style will only get you so far. Service and product still reign supreme.
I would like to say, as I have in the past, I am blessed to know several sales representatives who really listen to what we, the retailers, have to say. These reps have been an integral part in new product development, product promotion, and overall symbiotic relationships between our store and the manufacturers that they represent.
(As one of the nearest and dearest of these moves up in his company this week... and you know who you are... I, personally, wish you all the best! Congratulations on your promotion...
