Sales Goal Reward Dinner
July 28, 2008

I told you in June about an incentive we offered employees if a certain sales goal was achieved.  The goal was reached and the reward was nothing short of awesome!

We had the time of our lives at Medieval Times dinner and tournament.  All but three were able to attend and some of us brought family and friends.  We had a total crowd of 18, just enough to fill an entire table in the tournament arena.  We cheered loudly and wildly for the yellow knight in whose section we were seated.  The show was amazing and featured jousting, horse tricks, a flying falcon, and a plot of deception against our host, the King.

Our dinner, a medieval feast fit for nobility, was served on traditional metal dishes with no silverware.  I have to confess, though, that Kailey and I, both vegetarians, were given forks because the vegetarian meal included rice.  We did not have spoons for our soup, though, and so drank it from the bowl with our fellow teammates.  What a blast!

Going into work today, all the buzz was about how much fun we had yesterday at our dinner.  Aside from being a little tired, we were all quite glowing after yesterday's experience.  This was a great way to increase sales, build team spirit, and grow happy employees.  We will be implementing the same type of incentive at our other location because of the success that was attained in this "experiment".  They, too, will be going to the dinner and tournament at Medieval Times and they are all super excited about acheiving the goal.

Note that, in the photo, there are 19 people.  That is because there is a Princess in our midst!  The actress who portrayed the Princess in the story joined us for a group photo.
