Newell Rubbermaid, Owners Of Teutonia U.S., Based In Atlanta
May 27, 2008
I have said many times before that it benefits any store to have a manufacturer's headquarters or offices in the same town. We are blessed to have added Newell Rubbermaid to the list of companies who call Atlanta home. This helps to build our relationship with the distributors of Graco Children's Products, Teutonia U.S., and Aprica.
Recently, New Baby Products was visited by Jay Gould, President of the Home and Family division of Newell Rubbermaid. What an honor it was to have such an individual visit our humble family-owned store! Mr. Gould came to see our Teutonia design kiosk and see how things were going with it. While here, he also investigated our Graco products and learned a little about our extended history as a metals retailer. (This included enjoying a photo from our office of an employee in 1987 demonstrating a high-end Aprica stroller and viewing one of my Grandpa's old "Stroll-O-Chair" photo collections.)
Visits like this can help corporations to remember "the little guy" (independent retailers). I would like to believe that this visit benefits, not only our store, but
all of you independent retailers who are affiliated with Newell Rubbermaid. It is really an honor to be able to represent the independent baby products retailers of this nation to a large corporation in order to maintain more personal and profitable relationships. I look forward to future networking with this and other manufacturers.
