Many of you know my mom, Linda.  She went into the hospital this morning to have her heart checked.  Aside from requiring some lifestyle changes, she's fine.  It reminds me, though, how unimportant the little things in life really are.  I believe that there are times when we put too much emphasis on business and not enough effort into our families.  I am taking this incident as a sign that I need to do more for my family.  If you work for or with your family, do you find that you sometimes take them for granted?  I know I do.

Take a moment, if you will, to reflect on your family and your impact on them.  Do you need to increase your efforts with the family?  Will focusing more on your family hurt your business?  I think, in most cases, that focusing on your family will improve your business.  When my family is well, I find that I'm happier and more productive.  What do you think?
