Top 10 Things I Love About The Baby Business

10. The tiny stuff. Everything is cuter in miniature.
9. The constant reminder that everyone starts out small, sweet, and innocent. It's not until we grow teeth that we get stuborn and grumpy.
8. I am able to observe parenting in action and see what works and doesn't work for other people. I am able to learn from my customers' mistakes.
7. The ability to relate. My child was little once, too.
6. I get a discount when I have to give baby gifts.
5. Job security. People are always going to have babies.
4. It is the happiest time in someone's life and I get to be a part of that!
3. I get to see my family every day.
2. The fact that I can get my maternal fix without the 2 am feedings.
1. Babies, of course! It never gets old seeing babies!

Ten Things I Don't Like So Much About The Baby Business
10. The messes are never little.
9. The fact that I am reminded that we all get older (and grumpier once we have teeth!)
8. I sometimes find that what works for one family may not work for mine.
7. The ability to forget. I haven't had a baby in 8 1/2 years.
6. Everyone expects the biggest and best baby gifts from me.
5. We are condoning over-population. People are always going to have babies.
4. It is the happiest time in someone's life and if I mess it up, they're coming after me with a chainsaw!
3. I have to see my family every day.
2. It makes me want a baby, 2 am feedings and all.
1. The babies grow fast and it makes me feel old!
