End Of The Month Report
June 30, 2008

Summer business is usually good but not great.  This June, though, despite the flailing economy, has been incredible for us!  How did we do it?

It was actually easy.  We decided to boost morale (and sales!) with an employee incentive.  If our employees can pull off a 3% increase from last year within a specified date range, we all go on a special outing.  Dinner and entertainment will be provided for each employee.  Family members may attend but must pay their own way.  The dinner event will have all of us at one table and on one "team".  (If you're curious, click the hyperlink.)  The event is not cheap, by any means, but the 3% gain is many-times-over the cost of the outing.

With incentives, everyone wins.  Employees feel appreciated (and they should!  They've worked so hard!)  The store's figures are up.  Most of all, though, there is a true feeling of team spirit that is achieved.  Morale is high, productivity is high, customers are happy... what more could you ask for?

I'm always on the look out for new ideas for employee incentives so if you have any, please, post them below.  Thanks!
