Sales Reps Rearranging Our Store To Be Their Store
November 30, 2007

I personally cannot stand when I walk into a store and the obviously commissioned sales staff is all over me like a swarm of piranhas.  This type of aggressive sales strategy causes me anxiety.  So, with this being the case, what of a sales representative coming into my store and aggressively rearranging the store to look like we only sell their products?

You, my readers, know that I do not name names or point fingers at specific companies.  This is still the case (for those of you who were just reading to see about whom I was talking, read no further).  With that said, there was a company representative in the store this week who committed this act of rearranging my store to look like her company's store.

The rep was working with my mom who didn't have the heart to say "no" while Krystal and I giggled and talked about how we were going to have to fix everything on Monday.

So let us talk about having to re-rearrange our store...  This company is now costing us money instead of making us money because we are wasting time doing and undoing these ridiculous displays.  Let me say, also, that we appreciate the help from companies in our store.  I do not wish to come off as unappreciative to those companies that do such a great job of helping us merchandise their products (without overtaking the store!)  The company to which I am referring is not trying to help merchandise their products, they're trying to take over the world (or at least our storefront).

Think of us, if you will, on Monday while we are re-rearranging our store and let this be a lesson about standing up to the bullies in life.  Have a great weekend everyone!

I was wondering if you can refer a few sales reps to us. We own CoolZips a fun creative line of zipper pulls for kids jackets, backpacks, etc. www.CoolZips.com. We would love to find reps to help us get our product to a few shows. Thanks for your help. Lauren@CoolZips.com
