Baby products, Texas style: Cowboys go a long way in the nursery

I’m the youngest of 5 girls. I don’t like being dusty, I don’t wear bandanas, and I’m scared of spurs. The closest I’ve ever been to being a cowgirl was “raising” a cactus when I was about 6 years old.
BUT…. I certainly would’ve had a different take on the whole Western lifestyle if any of this would have been around when I was growing up! Check out the cool toys, bedding, diaper bags, furniture, art and gifts for a cowboy (or cowgirl) nursery.
This Rodeo Roundup Cowgirl is posed perfectly on her horse and is ready for the rodeo - er, puppet show, Manhattan Toy, $25.
The Kiddie Ups Cowboy Rocking Horse has a colorful cactus seatback, cut-out details, and a red bandana motif, Levels of Discovery, $188.99.
The 3-piece Retro Cowboy Crib Bedding Set has a print crib bumper with ecru stripe chenille, and brown cow cording and ties. The sheet has the cow print; and the 17” blue bandana ruffled skirt is trimmed in blue rick rack, New Arrivals, $464.
A cowboy down on the range, working the doggies with a lasso decorates the front of this solid hardwood Toy Box, Knobelties, $650.
The fabric Cowboy Photo Album has 50 double sided photo-sleeve pages, and a grosgrain ribbon closure, 3 Marthas, $32.50.
Cowboy Dreams is a custom-made round crib with a front drop panel and two-position mattress height adjustment, All Things Creative, $1,035.
This Cowboys Dust Off giclee canvas wall art is 16x20”, Sherri Blum, $99.
The super luxe Audrey Diaper Bag comes in Glow—with soft distressed Italian Barolo leather and gold chrome hardware. Outside pockets are lined with animal print on real pony hair, Mia Bossi, $1,210.
Racer the Horse Comfy Cozy is made of soft, short pile plush and has a blanket body with a soft pillow head. The underside is satin, giving baby something comforting to touch, Gund, $26.95.
My Pet Rodeo Playset encourages imaginative play. Unzip the soft-sided toy carrier and it becomes an all-in-one playset with a plush friend, play accessories and themed backdrop. Includes a soft rodeo bull plush, carrier case, and fun accessories, Aurora, $20.95.
Minkie, cotton and flannel join up to make the 36-inch square Buckaroo Blanket is lightweight yet wonderfully warm, Tickle Toes, $49.
Fuzzy cow fabric and fringe make the Western Toddler Bedding Set cuddly for a tough lil guy. Coverlet, pillow insert and sham, Doodlefish, $200.
The Georgie Porgie Bibbie keeps clean clothes protected. The double-sided quilted fabric makes it extra absorbent and reversible. Machine wash and dry, Dilly Dally, $34.95-38.95.
A modernized version of classic Western motifs like lassoing cowboys, horseshoes, cactuses and teepees deliver visions of life on the range for wannabe Butch Cassidys, in these Western Curtains, Dwell Studio for The Shade Store.
This is a very cool bag—when I spotted the picture, I knew it had to be part of the Western theme (but, um, doesn’t she look incredibly similar to the very first picture I posted here of the puppet?) The Urban Reversible Saddle Tote Bag has matching removable items inside: storage satchel, cooler bag and change mat, Isoki, $199.95.
