Juvenile sales up in first quarter for Russ Berrie
OAKLAND, N.J. — Gift and plush manufacturer Russ Berrie and Co. has released its earnings reports for the first quarter, which ended March 31. Higher sales in the infant and juvenile segment resulted in a modest 1.1 percent increase to $75.9 million, compared with $75.1 million for the first quarter of 2007. Consolidated net income was $2 million, or $0.09 per diluted share, compared with net income of $2.5 million, or $0.12 per diluted share, for the same year-ago quarter. more » » »
